Terms of Service

Last updated: September 15, 2026

These Terms of Service describe the rules and expectations for using the website and services of Senior Home Independence Services. Please read them carefully before requesting a service or using our site.

Acceptance of Terms

By accessing this website or requesting services from Senior Home Independence Services, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or services.

Our Services

Senior Home Independence Services provides general home maintenance, home safety support, aging-in-place assistance, and property oversight for older adults in Middle Tennessee. We offer both one-time services and ongoing membership plans.

We also offer a Home Independence Assessment, which is a practical walk-through review of home maintenance and safety concerns, not a professional home inspection, engineering inspection, or code compliance inspection.

What We Do Not Provide

It is important to understand the boundaries of our services:

  • We do not provide medical care, medical advice, skilled nursing, personal care, or caregiving services.
  • We do not perform licensed trade work such as electrical, plumbing, HVAC, roofing, or structural repairs. We can help coordinate with licensed professionals for these tasks when appropriate.
  • We are not a 24-hour emergency response service. If you have a life-threatening emergency, call 911.
  • Our Home Independence Assessment is not a substitute for a professional home inspection, and it does not certify that a home is free from defects or code violations.

Scheduling and Cancellations

Visit and assessment scheduling is subject to availability. We will work with you to find a convenient time. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please contact us as far in advance as possible.

For one-time services, we may require a deposit or scheduling fee. For membership plans, visits are scheduled according to your plan’s frequency and terms.

Payment

Service fees and membership pricing are described on our website and in your service agreement. Payment is due according to the terms agreed at the time of scheduling or enrollment. Prices may change, and we will notify active members in advance of any pricing changes.

Limitation of Liability

Our services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Senior Home Independence Services is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our services or website.

Because we do not perform licensed trade work or professional inspections, we are not responsible for latent defects, code violations, or conditions that would typically be identified by a licensed professional. We encourage you to hire qualified, licensed professionals for specialized work.

Third-Party Coordination

When we help coordinate services with outside vendors or licensed professionals, those professionals are independent contractors, not employees or agents of Senior Home Independence Services. We are not responsible for the work, warranty, or conduct of third-party providers, though we will do our best to connect you with reputable professionals.

Website Use

You agree to use this website lawfully and not to disrupt, misuse, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems. Content on this site, including articles in our Learning Center, is provided for general educational purposes and is not professional advice tailored to your specific situation.

Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms of Service at any time. The most current version will always be posted on this page. Your continued use of our website or services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
